The Winter Refit, our first was very intense and we covered as many problems as we could however that still left more than we would have liked.  We were confident that we had resolved all the major tasks enabling ADAT to sail IE: ready for sea.   This year came with some more serious sailing where we could use ADAT to better advantage albeit mostly locally but being a Class 1 vessel she is capable of much longer passages and that is my overall intention.  Our new Helm positioned Instrument Pod housed our latest instrument, a Bow Thruster control and of course we had to replace the Sprayhood which was damaged beyond repair on our delivery passage.   Royal Blue was to be our agreed new main colour for ADAT.

By now our list of faults (still long) seemed to almost stop growing.   Fixing one fault seemed to always uncover several others but we were now on top.   Our Winter refit resolved many problems after alot of very hard work.   We even planned some changes and improvements.   Our Partnership was developing and we all were flexing our muscles in more adventurous sailing.   I concentrated on crewing Adat with those YOSC members and friends who wished to gain more experience.  This kept me up-to-date with my own knowledge and of course on my toes with eyes in the back of my head.
