Time flew as it does when you are enjoying yourself and soon along came our 20th Anniversary, this time being held at the even more prestigious premises of the Royal Maritime Club in Portsmouth with many members staying overnight in their over 100 rooms.   Planning started in 2010 with each of us on the committee delegated with our own tasks.   My main task was to produce a celebratory DVD.   I had earlier produced a ’demo’ DVD for prospective Members joining YOSC but after our Full committee viewed it the idea was born to make one for our 20th Anniversary with every member receiving their own copy as a momento of the occasion.

This gave me around 18 months to design the format (and cover label), plan, seek & select data and photographs (mainly from my own collection with other members contributing), etc after which I had to get stuck in and generate a Master DVD with all the titles, fades & wipes.  Then a choice of background music to blend in, editing the many stages and the years of data, producing and finally burning 95 copies.   Not forgetting designing and printing 95 DVD Labels.  I used Pinnacle Studio 15 (Ultimate Collection) software for the DVD and US Digital Media Pro Labeling Systems DiscStudio for the Labels.  This was a most enjoyable task indeed.  One member just could not attend the Dinner but not to be left out gererously contributed 3 bottles of Pussers Rum that arrived for my attention with perfect timing and the last drop consumed at around 0200 the following morning.
