Up the Creek - Isle of Wight

Priory Bay

Priory Bay is a very shallow bay ideal for anchoring with good holding.   Anchor not too far inshore and you could take advantage of a splendid sunset.  A long dinghy ride to the sandy beach (with rocks on the East end) will remind one of beaches abroad.  For an overnight stay, best of all especially on a hot summers evening, stay on board and just dine, wine and maybe fish to relax but beware of the occasional rogue wave of a passing ship.

A spot of evening fishing

Relaxing over a glass of wine

The reflection of the sun on the water

Taking in the warm evening setting sun

Sunset, says it all
